Well, this is quite a landmark weekend for me. First, July 3rd was the one-year anniversary of my move to DC. Yay! Second, obviously, was the 4th of July. I celebrated by going to the pool, then heading to a friend's house for a barbecue and watching fireworks on the Mall, which was pretty awesome.

My parents were here this weekend, and since the only time I do anything touristy is when my parents come to visit, we went to the National Museum of Crime and Punishment. So, new job, right? New commute. Been at it almost two weeks now. Every day, I leave work at 5pm. Every day, I take the Metro to the bus station (which should be a 10 minute ride, but often ends up being longer due to slow-downs and delays).
